New Green
Centre Plans a Facelift
The New Green Community Trustees and
a loyal band of helpers are holding a variety of fundraising events during
2010.
The first fundraiser, Burns Night,
has set us on the right path. Paint and decorating materials can be
purchased for the main hall, which is the beginning of revitalising the
Centre. This will benefit everybody in the village and beyond who use New
Green Centre.
This is only the start, and we need
your support to raise funds to continue the improvements, which you will see
as the year progresses. Details of the next Barn Dance, Fun Run, and Spring
Fayre are here in this newsletter. So please make a note of the dates and
come and join in. Also, keep an eye out for further events throughout the
year. If you would like to spare an hour or two to help us out, contact

We are pleased to open the monthly Trust
meetings to residents of Thurston. We look forward to receiving
your input with regards to matters concerning New Green Centre
as well as providing the opportunity for you to learn more about
the Trust.
Dates of future meetings will be published in
advance in the Thurston newsletter and on the notice boards in
the Centre.
You do not need to book in advance, just turn
up on the night.

Health visitors are holding regular monthly health clinics
@ New Green Centre on the third Thursday of the month between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m.
and
on the
first Tuesday of the month between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
From September 2009, regular monthly evening clinics will be held at Jigsaw
Children’s Centre, Norton Road, Thurston on the 1st Tuesday of
the month from 5.00pm to 6.30pm
