    18th MARCH 2008

    THANK YOU AND FAREWELL
After 7 years as the Community Watch Liaison Officer for Mid Suffolk, I am departing for pastures new. During this time Neighbourhood Watch in Mid Suffolk has grown in size from 120 schemes to nearly 400, but this would not have been possible without the support and assistance of the Co-ordinators, so I thank you most sincerely.

My last day in the office will be Wednesday 19th of March and whilst a decision is made on whether I will be replaced, PC Sally Parkes has kindly agreed to oversee any urgent Neighbourhood Watch matters, ie Co-ordinator changes or requests for literature, but she will not be issuing any newsletters. You can contact Sally via the main switchboard on 01473 613500 or email her at Sally.Parkes@suffolk.pnn.police.uk . For all other Neighbourhood Watch matters please contact your local Safer Neighbourhood Teams

It just remains for me to thank you, once again, for your support and to wish you well with your schemes for the future.

    Kind regards.

    Theresa

CRIMINAL ACTIVITY IN THE MID SUFFOLK WEST AREA
You will see from the crimes below that there have been several burglaries and thefts from motor vehicles over the last couple of weeks. The sad fact is that many of these could have been prevented if people had taken their security more seriously. Don’t make life easy for the would-be burglar or thief! Always lock your vehicle and remove valuables from view. Don’t be tempted to leave house windows open overnight, no matter how small they are! All doors and windows should be locked at all times.
