Our club runs
out of Thurston Primary School and is open to children aged between 4-13
years. During the school term we are open from 3.30pm - 5.30pm Monday to
Friday. In the school holidays we are open from 8.30pm - 5.30pm. We
have a number of activities including arts and crafts, pool table, table
football, playstation 2, laptop, board games and lots of outdoor
equipment. During the holidays we arrange trips and have entertainers
and discos. Kids Club is open to all children from around the Bury St
Edmunds area. Our staff are fully qualified and we are OFSTED

951785. ADULT - SPORTING Beyton Swimming Club season starts May The 25m pool is situated at Beyton Middle School and is surrounded by areas (some sheltered) for spectators and sun bathing. Qualified lifeguards are present at every session. Membership is open to all residents of Beyton and the surrounding villages. Most of the time a lane is reserved for length swimming with the rest available for casual swimming and just keeping cool. Family membership costs £50, Adults £21 and 5-15s £16. Thurston Bowls Club (Outdoor) For 2012, the Club will be playing in two leagues, Monday evenings and Tuesday afternoons. We also have club bowling on Wednesday evenings, Friday afternoons and some weekend events but the green is open for play at all times from April to September. New members of all abilities including beginners will be welcomed.
For beginners we
can provide some instruction and the loan of bowls,
so if you have
never played bowls, come and try the game.
Our green is
adjacent to the New Green Community Centre.

2012, the Bowls Club will celebrate 21 years since the
bowls green was officially opened.
To
start off the 21st season of bowling, the
Club will hold it’s annual dinner at New Green on
Friday
16th March 2012. The event will be open to
all so if you fancy a three-course meal
with a glass of wine

Cats Protection (Bury St Edmunds Branch) is the local branch of the National cat charity covering this area.. Our aims are to rescue stray and unwanted cats and kittens, rehabilitate and re-home where possible, to encourage the neutering of all cats and kittens not required for breeding and to provide information to the public on the care of cats and kittens.

We are your local ladies North West clog dancing group. A friendly welcome awaits anyone who would like to join us at our Sunday practices, in Haughley Village Hall at 7.30 pm. All the dancers are ladies, but men and women play in our band - however good or bad you consider yourself to be come along and give it try. Joining Haughley Hoofers not only keeps you fit but can open up a new social life for you and your family. During the summer we dance at many local events as well as making weekend visits to various different counties in England, and sometimes to Europe. We are a very friendly enthusiastic troupe. If you think you would like to join, or just watch to see what we are all about, we begin our Sunday practices at 7.30pm September 30th please pop in any Sunday evening after 30 September to see what happens.
